From TikTok videos to YouTube Shorts, short-form videos have taken over the internet. They’re fun to watch and with the new YouTube Shorts Create button, they’re even easy to create. Read on to explore:

What does the YouTube Shorts Create button do?

The YouTube Shorts Create button lets viewers make 15 to 60-second Shorts using video or audio from an existing YouTube video. Users can record, edit, add music, and text, and publish Shorts using the Create button without leaving the current screen.

Note that all YouTube creators don't allow their viewers to make Shorts from their content so make sure to find a YouTube video that does have the Create button below the title.

Where to find the YouTube Shorts Create button?

The YouTube Shorts Create button is available to all YouTube accounts using the YouTube app on iOS and Android. The button can be found in the toolbar under the YouTube video title.

Desktop users will not be able to see the Create button under a YouTube video.
