Why post videos from TikTok to Instagram?

Can you post TikTok videos on Instagram? Of course, and you should. Content creators post where their audience is. Professional creatives don’t wait for their audience to find them. That’s why it’s a common practice to repost TikTok to Instagram. Cross-posting TikTok videos to Instagram boosts your efficiency, connect with more audiences, and expand your reach.

Repurpose videos and save time

  • Instagram’s algorithm promotes the same vertical video format and 9:16 aspect ratio as TikTok does.

  • Cross-posting the same content saves time.

  • No need to make multiple videos for different social media platforms.

Find new viewers

  • Not everybody on TikTok is on Instagram and vice versa.

  • TikTok and Instagram followers have different demographics and locations.

  • Cross-posting means your content isn’t platform exclusive.

Grow your social media presence

  • Multiply your presence by being active on multiple platforms.

  • Generate more views across multiple accounts.

  • Create more sources to drive traffic to your profile or website.

How to resize TikTok for Instagram video formats without a watermark

It’s not that you can’t share TikTok to Instagram, but Instagram doesn’t favor video posts that have a TikTok watermark, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t cross-post your videos.

If you want to know how to post a TikTok on Instagram without a watermark, a simple method is to never add it in the first place. Avoid having TikTok’s watermark on your videos by not creating and editing directly in the TikTok app. You can resize video online and never worry about watermarks simply by creating and editing your social media videos online for free with Clipchamp. You can directly export for TikTok and other social media platforms.

Create your video then adjust the aspect ratio to suit any social media platform. Then you can share the same content in different formats like 1:1 for Instagram feeds, 9:16 for Instagram Stories and Reels, or 16:9 for YouTube.

Save your watermark-free TikTok videos in 1080p HD video resolution to your computer or phone. You can also share videos directly to TikTok from the export page.

You can then resize video for TikTok and Instagram Stories and feed videos following these steps.
