Explore dark mode theme settings
Dark mode is the default theme for the Clipchamp video editor. This mode is particularly useful for video editors who are working in low-light environments, or users with light sensitivity. Choose this mode if you like the dark aesthetic, or if you are:
Editing frequently and want to reduce strain on your eyes.
Making long videos and want to reduce distractions from the property panel and toolbar.
Working at night or in low-light conditions.
Creating batches of videos and need to stay focused on the video assets.
We specially recommend this mode for experienced video editors who are creating long YouTube videos, video tutorials, and corporate demo videos.
Explore light mode theme settings
Light mode is the new theme option in Clipchamp, perfect for those who prefer a brighter interface and light aesthetic. Choose this mode if you are:
Editing in well-lit environments.
New to video editing and want to clearly view the range of professional editing features available in the editor.
Have visual impairments or sensitivities and need accessibility.
Prefer theme consistency with other Microsoft 365 apps.
We suggest this mode for beginner video editors who are working with short video content such as Instagram Reels and social media videos, making work video clips, or making an AI video.
