How to convert MP4 videos to MP3 files for work

How to save MP3 audio from work videos

Step 1. Import or record video and add to the timeline

To import video footage, click on the import media button in the your media tab on the toolbar to browse your computer files, or connect your OneDrive to view media from your organization’s SharePoint.

Alternatively, record a video with webcam in the record and create tab on the toolbar. Follow the prompts to save a high quality webcam recording.

Next, drag and drop the recording video onto the timeline to edit before saving as an MP3 audio file.

Step 2. Remove silences and trim audio

Automatically find and delete unwanted silences from the footage using the sparkle icon button in the timeline toolbar. The time-saving AI auto cut feature will review the footage and suggest removing pauses longer than three seconds. Review the suggestions on the timeline, and click on the remove all button to proceed.

Users can also manually trim video length. Select the video clip so it’s highlighted and drag the trim handles to the left or right to achieve the right length.

Step 3. Adjust audio volume

Ensure the audio track is loud and clear by adjusting the volume of the clip. Click on the audio tab on the property panel, then drag the volume slider left and right. The volume can be increased up to 200% of the original track volume. To decrease the volume or mute the clip, slide to the left.

Step 4. Export as audio file

To download as an MP3 file, click on the export button then expand the quality tab by clicking more options. Select audio-only export option, which saves only the audio from the video project. Next, update the file name, choose the OneDrive location, and click on the export button to save the high-quality audio file.
