If you run an ecommerce website, you might have heard that adding a single video to your landing page can increase conversations by 80. But sometimes, videos can slow down your website and take up more space than usual. The good news is that this is simple to fix!

Most of us enjoy watching videos. Whether it’s a product demo video, unboxing video, or marketing campaign, videos are one of the best forms of infotainment, especially on eCommerce websites. But sometimes, videos can slow down your website and take up more space than usual. The good news is that there are simple tools available to solve this problem.

Read on to learn how to make a video gallery in WordPress with Elementor without slowing down your website.

If you have never made a video gallery before, using a WordPress plugin like Elementor is the easiest way to get started. Elementor will help incorporate a collection of videos for your site visitors, and you can completely automate the process in just a few steps.

Step 1. Download the Elementor addon

To get started, download the Elementor page builder. Head over to your WordPress website Admin Dashboard, then hover over Plugins and click on Add New.

Next, type Elementor in the search bar. Then click Install Now, then Activate.

Step 2. Download ElementsKit addon for Elementor

Once you have installed the Elementor page builder, you will need to download the ElementsKit addon before you can add a video gallery to your website for free. If you have the Elementor Pro version, you don’t need to download the ElementsKit to add a video gallery.

ElementsKit is an all-in-one Elementor addon providing comprehensive capabilities for developing websites. The ElementsKit offers free and premium widgets, pre-designed header & footer templates, ready pages, and over 500 ready-to-use blocks and sections.

To download, type in ElementsKit in the Plugins tab search bar, then click Install Now, then Activate.

Head over to your Elementor Dashboard, and on the search bar, type Video Gallery. Drag and drop the widget into the ‘drag widget here’ box.

Editing options will appear on the grey left toolbar, Content, Layout, and Settings.

a) Content

In the Content tab, you can add as many items/videos as you want by clicking on the Add Item button. Select your Video type (e.g., YouTube or Vimeo), paste your video URL, or input your Category (if any). You can upload a custom thumbnail image for your video/s.

b) Layout

The Layout tab will give you the option to change the style of your video. Select between grid, masonry, and carousel. You can also change the column variables.

c) Settings

Under the Settings tab, you can customize your video gallery with unique play button icons, play actions, options, and more.

Once you have finished customizing your video gallery, click on the Upload button. Next, click on the Preview button to watch your video gallery.
